How Many Calories Should I Eat to Lose Weight?

To lose weight, you have to reduce how many calories you are eating. So you ask, “How many calories should I eat to lose weight?” The amount of calories to lose weight varies from person to person. I will share a formula with you below.

In order to stay healthy while losing weight, you want to eat a minimum of 1200 calories. Men and people who are very overweight will want to have at least 1500 calories per day.

To calculate more accurately how many calories you should eat to lose weight, you need to know your resting metabolic rate. I will calculate your body mass index, how much protein you need, and your resting metabolic rate for you for free. You can either call me at (850) 320-2909 or send an email to bonnie at InternetRealmLLC.com with your height, weight, and gender. Or register for a diet sample pack at BeThinNowDiet.com.

Once you know your resting metabolic rate you add a percentage based on your daily activity, add that to your resting metabolic rate, then subtract 500 calories per day to lose one pound per week. For example:

Resting Metabolic Rate = 1,600

add 20% for extra daily activity
1,600 x .20 = 320
1,600 + 320 = 1,920
1,920 – 500 = 1,420

So you would eat 1,420 calories per day to lose one pound per week. You have to create a deficiency of 3,500 calories to lose a pound. So if you cut 500 calories per day (7 x 500 = 3,500) you will lose one pound per week.

You are less likely to gain the weight right back if you lose it at a slower rate. When you lose the weight quickly, you are most likely depriving yourself of many foods that you love. So as soon as you start eating those foods again, you gain the weight back. I can show you how to take the weight off and keep it off for the rest of your life.

I lost 30 pounds in 24 weeks without going hungry. I have been maintaining my weight now for 4 months, and I will continue to do so with good nutrition and a healthy diet. Craig lost 23 pounds in 23 days and a total of 42 pounds in 3 1/2 months and has kept the weight off for 12 years now.

Give me a call, and I’ll help you do the same.
